32 EDITABLE Sight Word Games

I had a problem…

My kindergarten class was filled with kids at MANY different reading levels. Some were just beginning to recognize their letters and others were reading short novels.

I knew that teaching kids sight words that were at their just right reading level would skyrocket their progress… but it was SO time-consuming to pull together activities for every sight word list week after week. Sound familiar?!

Here’s how I fixed it…

I set out on a mission to create a sanity saving solution and ended up designing 32 motivating sight word games kids loved to play.

But the secret sauce was that I made them EDITABLE.

I could type my words ONCE on the getting started page and they automatically loaded into every activity so I could quickly print and play.

Cue the confetti!

I won’t downplay it – I’m totally obsessed with these EDITABLE sight word games.

And teachers are too!

The pack has earned more than 2,500 four star ratings on Teachers Pay Teachers.

“This has to be one of the best things that I have ever bought! These save me so much time and headaches when it’s time to cycle out my centers! The different activities are easy to edit and save as you go, so no matter what word list your district is using it is always easily adapted!” – Elizabeth W.

Because I could easily create duplicate versions of the same game using differentiated word lists, one group of students could practice 18 beginning of the year sight words while another group of children worked on the same activity but focused on harder words.

I could even EDIT THE DIRECTIONS!

Now I can’t believe I used to spend so much time putting together literacy centers!

“How am I only finding this resource now?… As a French teacher, I so often find myself having to create my own resources or tweak English resources that I find. This amazing packet removes that headache!

You have just saved me so much time, girlfriend. I can’t say thank you enough!! :)” – Bilingual Mingle

Flip, read and write sight word eggs.

Spray some bugs!

Go on a treasure hunt.

And so. much. more.

Type the words once and you instantly have 32 ready to print sight word games.

Awesome, right?!

This sanity saving pack makes it so easy to make engaging, just right literacy centers all year long.

    Hi Malia,

I purchased this kit last year but I’m only getting a chance to set up the file now…it’s been a long term goal for me to differentiate my sight words during our word work time.

I’m sitting down to do it now and I’m having trouble with the file. I changed all the words on page five and it seemed to carry through the whole document…but on many pages the words are really tiny! Is there a way to fix this? I don’t think my students will be able to read the small print.

    Thanks very much,
    Stephanie
