Old MacDonald

August 19, 2014 by Malia Hollowell Filed Under: Free Printables, Plato's Blog, Preschool Reading, Rhyming 4 Comments

Activity for ages 3 to 5.

When I think of classic songs for kids, Old MacDonald is always one of the first to pop into my head. This set of free printable finger puppets is a fun and easy way to bring the song to life. Just print, cut out and play along with one of my favorite tunes: Old MacDonald Had a Farm!

Free printable Old McDonald finger puppets. So cute!! {Playdough to Plato}

Old MacDonald Finger Puppets

To make the Old McDonald finger puppets, I printed the freebie (below) on card stock to make it durable.

Then I cut along the outside of each one and hot glued the ends together to make a ring that fit snugly around each finger.

We slid one Old MacDonald puppet on each of Middle Brother’s finger and were ready to go.

Old MacDonald Lyrics

I included the Old MacDonald lyrics in the printable so that you could easily refer to the words if needed. You’ll sing:

Old MacDonald had a farm, E I E I O.

And on that farm he had a chicken, E I E I O.

With a “cluck cluck” here and a “cluck cluck” there.

Here a “cluck”, there a “cluck”, everywhere a “cluck, cluck”

Old MacDonald had a farm, E I E I O.

{Continue the same word pattern for each animal.}

Old MacDonald Video

My two boys love singing Old MacDonald and were excited to make a video with me to help teach you the words too:
