Some days, I have to pinch myself. Today is one of those days.

As we all know, some of our students come to school not only to learn, but also to eat. Their families don’t have the means to give them the breakfast, lunch and dinner so many of us take for granted.

There’s an amazing organization in our community called Backpack Buddies.

Every Friday, the nonprofit drops off bags of food at each school in our district.

Although the bags might look ordinary, they’re actually life changing.

You see, the backpacks are filled with food for kids who wouldn’t otherwise be able to eat over the weekend.

Here’s where the “pinch me” moment comes in:

Playdough to Plato is a community filled with dedicated teachers and families who are committed to the success of students.

And we have a powerful opportunity to make a difference by providing for their basic needs.

That’s why I am so proud to announce that Playdough to Plato is partnering up with Backpack Buddies for the second year in a row to provide another 324 bags of food for children in our community.

My “Pinch Me” Moment

That’s hundreds of times we’ll be able to keep kids from going hungry.

Thank you all for your continued support over the years.

YOU are the reason we can have this exciting “pinch me” moment.

It’s thrilling to be able to pay it forward!

With endless love and appreciation,

Malia
