Craft Stick Puzzles
Since it was Big Brother’s (age 6.5) first time solving the brain puzzles, I sat by his side so we could walk through the problem solving process together.
He grabbed a card from the pile and got to work building the picture with his craft sticks.
Then came the fun: reading the challenge and finding the solution!
In this first problem, he needed to take away just two sticks to change the picture from five squares (four small ones and the large one around the outside border) to TWO squares.
Finding the answer took plenty of trial and error but, eventually, he discovered a solution that worked.
The brainy challenge required lots of perseverance but the result was well worth it and he was eager to grab the next card in the pile.
