You’re Not the Only One Who Needed a Better Plan

  • “I felt like I was letting kids slip through the cracks. Now my planning has shifted entirely and I’m much more intentional about what literacy skill I’m helping kids work on – especially during small group time.”
    Julia B.
    Kindergarten Teacher
  • I was hoping to learn how to implement the Science of Reading into my classroom.  Malia knows her “stuff” and goes above and beyond to help and support us!  It’s like she is in the classroom next door. If she doesn’t know something, she will find out!  I always brag about the support and explanations she gives, and the materials that are ready to use.
    Marcella
    First Grade Teacher
  • I really wanted to know more about how to teach sight words and what order to teach phonics. Now I feel like I am able to prepare for my best year yet this fall.
This is a complete program. It doesn’t just tell you what to do, but also gives you the materials and guidance to fully implement the program. I would encourage all K-2 teachers to take it!”
    Joann M.
    Kindergarten Teacher
  • “Teaching reading was always something I was concerned about. Am I doing enough? Am I doing it right? How do I know where the kids are and what the next step is? The Reading Roadmap has given me confidence. That’s the best thing.”
    Luanne L.
    First Grade Teacher
  • As a Pre-K teacher, it’s so helpful to have materials, training and resources to build a strong foundation for young students to be successful readers as they grow. The resources are colorful, fun, engaging, and easy to use – with little to no prep!”
    Leah B.
    Pre-K Teacher
  • “I have never felt fully equipped to teach children to read, especially those that are struggling.  I was hoping I would walk away with some tips and a better understanding of the reading process.  I got so much more than I hoped to! I have assessed all of my students and have such an understanding now of why the pieces are not coming together for them!!  I truly understand what I am doing and what I need to do for them!”

Whether you’re working with struggling readers, students with dyslexia, or a wide range of abilities, the tools and strategies in The Reading Roadmap are built to meet your students where they are and move them forward—one clear step at a time.

Absolutely. The Reading Roadmap works with any curriculum—because it focuses on what’s most effective, not just what’s in a boxed set.

Think of it as your secret sauce: the clarity and flexibility to make your curriculum actually work the way research says it should.

We hear this all the time. The difference is that The Reading Roadmap isn’t just another “program”—it’s a system. You’ll get the “how,” not just the “what.” No more binders left to collect dust. Instead, you’ll have clear, step-by-step guidance, done-for-you tools, and expert support to help you succeed in your real classroom.

The Reading Roadmap is ideal for Pre-K through 2nd grade teachers, reading specialists, and interventionists who are working with struggling readers up to 6th grade. It’s designed to meet the needs of early and developing readers.

Our evidence-based reading strategies work.

A Note From Our Founder

Hi, I’m Malia—a former classroom teacher, National Board Certified educator, and author of Science of Reading in Action.

When I first started teaching reading, I felt like I was constantly guessing. I wanted to do it right, but no one had ever shown me how to turn research into a real, day-to-day reading block that worked.

So I pieced it together—one training, one article, one late night at a time. And honestly? It was exhausting.

I created The Reading Roadmap because it’s exactly what I wish I had: a clear, step-by-step plan for what to teach, when to teach it, and how to make it stick—without burning out.

Whether you’re brand new to the Science of Reading or just looking for a research-backed system that makes sense, this course will give you the structure, support, and confidence you deserve.

I’ll be with you every step of the way. Let’s do this—together.

Real Teachers. Real Results. Real Confidence.

The Clarity I Was Missing
