Sharpie brand is waterproof and should work fine. We used an India ink artist pen I had on hand but a Sharpie should do the trick.

Hi Jenn,

I know Young Living sells a blend of oils called Pan Away. I’ve had non-running friends that have trained for half marathons swear this takes away all the soreness. It combines wintergreen, helichrysum, clove, and peppermint. Such a great idea to soak away the aches btw!
