After reading the classic If You Give a Mouse a Cookie a few days ago, I pulled out a little surprise for my kids: a set of cookie counting cards in serious need of some chocolate chips. They were THRILLED with the challenge and eagerly got to work.

Getting Ready

I printed the “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie” counting cardson cardstock to give them extra durability and make the colors really pop.

Then I cut them apart and grabbed a bag of chocolate chips from the pantry.

Big Brother {age 5} was ready to jump right into teen numbers so he grabbed eleven and started adding the chips.
