Motivating Girls’ Writing Pack

This motivating writing pack is chock-full of eye catching journal covers, engaging story prompts and super awesome extras that make writing fun for girls and easy on you.

The pack includes 90 story prompts about things girls love most – recess, unicorns, rock bands, ballet…. If you want to use the set as a journal, print all of the pages and have kids work through each story one by one. OR, if you’d rather pick and choose the sheets that most interest your girls, look through the set and print the winning prompts.

I wanted the pack to be super versatile, so I designed it with plenty of options so you can easily tweak it for your specific needs. The pack includes 90 motivating story prompts about things girls love most – recess, unicorns, ballet, rock bands…. need I say more?!

If you want to use the set as a journal, print all of the pages and have kids work through each story one by one. OR, if you’d rather pick and choose the sheets that most interest your girls, look through the set and print the winning prompts.

When you’re making copies, be sure to consider how capable your writers are. For preschoolers and early kindergarteners, you’ll likely want to leave the sheets as they are so kids have just a few lines to fill with writing. But for more advanced writers (later kindergarteners and first graders), I also included a blank-lined page that you can copy on the back of each story prompt to encourage them to stretch their stories and add lots of details.

To make the journals even more exciting, I included bright, eye-catching covers plus black and white versions in case you’re a classroom teacher with limited access to colored ink.

EXTRAS:

To help kids take their writing to the next level, I also designed some helpful extras. For stronger writers, I included editing checklists. {Print them on bright paper to make them extra exciting.}

And for new writers, I created alphabet charts to help them find the next letter they’re trying to sound out in a word.

Ready to start motivating your girls to write?!

You can grab the boys’ version HERE.

Number Formation Pack

Number Formation Pack

Make learning to write the numbers 0 to 30 fun for kids! This number formation activity pack is brimming with motivating ways to practice writing and recognizing numbers!

Check out all the fun details below.

INSIDE YOU’LL FIND:

–> Posters with memorable poems (one for each number) to hang on the wall as helpful reminders,

–> A 0-10 review sheet kids can take home to practice with their families,

–> Plus number activity sheets that work on writing and concept.

–> MEMORABLE RHYMES

Teaching kids silly number rhymes is a simple way to help them learn to write the digits 0-9. Once they know those 10 digits, they can write any number under the sun: numbers as small as 15 and numbers as big as 359,461, 209,607.

Introduce one digit at a time by teaching the kids a goofy poem they’re sure to remember.

“Down and around. Then you stop. We finish 5 with a line on top!”

I included large poster sized printables for you to hang on the wall or use for whole class instruction plus a review sheet kids can use to practice in a math station or with their parents at home.

Then continue the fun with rhymes for those tricky teens and twenties too!

–> ACTIVITY SHEETS

To help kids connect those numbers with their concept, I designed hands-on number activity sheets (one for each number from 0 to 30).

In all, kids practice 6-7 different ways of making just each number. So comprehensive!
