Class Three : Wrapping Up Pre-Reading Skills

Welcome to week three of Plato Academy. This week, we are wrapping up pre-reading skills by strengthening your child’s print awareness and letter recognition.

Although I introduce a new topic every week, please remember to move at a comfortable pace. If your child needs more practice, you can always find other activities in the list of additional resources below. If you have a suggestion about another fun activity your child loves, please share it with the group by posting a comment.  When we all support one another, we will be an unmatchable resource.

My 3.5 year old loved finding words he could read!! I think it really amazed him that he already knew so many words! It was a big confidence boost for him and has really given him the motivation he needed. Now he looks forward to little sister’s naptime so he can play reading games with mom!
