Sight Word Games

My kindergarten class was filled with kids at many different reading levels.

Some were just beginning to recognize their letters and others were reading short novels.

I knew that teaching kids sight words that were at their just right reading level would skyrocket their progress but it was SO time consuming to pull together activities for every sight word list week after week.

So I set out on a mission to create a solution.

And viola!

The Editable Sight Word Games were born.

Sight Word Games

I simply type my word list once and they automatically load into every game.

We can practice alphabet letter, classmates’ names, word families, seasonal words… anything under the sun and they automatically load into every activity just. like. that.

When my kids are ready to move on to a new list, I just swap out the words and hit “print” again to make a brand new game that’s perfect for another reading level.

I can’t believe I used to spend so much time putting together literacy centers!

Sight Word Games

Easily Differentiate

It’s probably no surprise that my favorite perk is being able to easily differentiate.

One group of students can practice words that are at their just right level while another group of children works on the same activity but with a completely different list.

AND {it’s a big and!!} this pack of sight word games makes all of that practice fun for kids. The creative, hands-on games are super motivating.

“So easy to edit this to fit any type of word work – sight words, blends, silent “e” words, vowel teams, CVC words, etc.” – Debbie R.

“So happy that this works for French! I tried to input all of the accents and I was so pleased to see that it worked. Thank you!!” – Elysha W.
